Triumph Of Bacchus by Argos (the Italian niche house Argos Fragrances / Capri, not the UK retailer) is a 2019 boozy oriental-spicy unisex scent: a rum, white peach, green apple and saffron opening over tonka, patchouli, vetiver and jasmine, drying to sweet tobacco, vanilla, amber, sandalwood and musk, with strong projection and 8-10h longevity. It sits between Red Tobacco and Herod but is generally considered better than both, which has driven steady demand for cheaper alternatives. The clearest community-vetted clone is Fragrance World's Colosseum (also sold under the French Avenue label), a ~2025 release widely compared to it in YouTube side-by-sides and on Fragrantica/Parfumo: reviewers call the opening strikingly close (peach + rum + candied fruit) and share the DNA, but note it is lighter, sweeter and more fruity, with a drydown that diverges after 1-2 hours and about 7h wear rather than 10 -- 'same mother, different father'. Dua Fragrances markets a dedicated house dupe, Dionysus, that mirrors the exact note pyramid, and UK oil house Perfume Parlour offers Bacchus Rise; both are legitimate inspired-by products but carry thinner independent consensus than Colosseum. Several single-house 'Gladiator' inspired oils (Yom & Layl, Bujairami) also exist but lack corroborated community discussion and were left off. Caveat: much of the clone chatter is recent and vendor-driven, so consensus is moderate rather than deeply established.
