Creed Royal Oud is a crisp, refined citrus-and-oud unisex woody built on a lemon/bergamot and pink-pepper opening over cedar, galbanum and angelica leading down to a clean sandalwood, mild oud and white-musk drydown — elegant and airy rather than the heavy, animalic Middle-Eastern oud people expect from the name. The one clone the community returns to again and again is Lomani Intense Black, repeatedly called a near-identical opening ("100% in the first minutes, 90-95% overall") whose only real fault is thin longevity of a few hours; it is cheap enough that most reviewers forgive it.
