Tom Ford Plum Japonais (Private Blend, Atelier d'Orient, 2013) is a warm spicy-fruity oriental built on ripe ume plum over saffron and cinnamon, with camellia/plum blossom in the heart and a resinous base of oud, patchouli, amber and benzoin/vanilla. Because it is a discontinued, expensive (~$390) Private Blend, several dedicated clone houses have targeted it directly. The most repeatedly named and best-regarded are Alexandria Fragrances 'Forbidden Plum' (an extrait-strength direct inspiration praised for capturing the spiced-plum-and-oud DNA with strong performance) and Dua Fragrances 'Plumlicious' (a well-known but frequently sold-out inspiration that leans sweeter and brighter than the original). Generic-oil and clone-house SKUs from Oil Perfumery, Fragrenza and Zoha Aroma also target it at lower cost with moderate fidelity. Note: aggregator sites (ScentMetric-style) list a 'Lattafa Japonais Impression' as the top clone, but no such Lattafa SKU could be independently verified, so it was dropped as a likely fabricated/templated name; Lattafa Vintage Radio is a loose plum-oud adjacency, not a true clone, and was also excluded.
